About our Branch

The Chester Branch is part of the Chester Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers. Our branch stretches from Malpas in the south, to Tattenhall in the east, to Tarvin and Chester in the north.

The most important part of bell ringing is to ring for Sunday service(s), but as a society we support each other in a variety of ways.

Students will be very welcome at any of the towers.

We are a very active society, with plenty of ringing and social activities. We have regular practices around the branch, and a monthly higher numbers practice at Chester Cathedral which is held on the third Monday of every month. All ringers are welcome to come and join us at one of our events.

If you are interested in learning to ring church bells you would be made most welcome at one of our towers, where you would be taught to handle a bell. Please see the 'About Bell Ringing' link on the left hand side for more information.

If you would like to contact a member of the committee, please see the contacts page.
