What's new for
Bell-ringers in the
Chester Branch?

David Russell of Backford reports having followed the instructions given in The Ringing World (17 October 2008) for making muffles out of motorbike tyres.  He was so impressed with the trial that all the bells have now been fitted.  Once fitted, the muffle remains in place and requires only to be turned through 90° to allow the bell to speak.

Want to know more?  David would be happy to answer any questions about the muffles and their construction.
